The Things We Haven't Even Asked For

So this is going to be a quick one. :) Lucy is half talking/half whining and I need to go get Scott from work, feed Lucy, have some Bible time, then head to our Youth Progressive Supper! I just wanted to share a blessing. As you probably know, we're moving into a house at the end of December and I cannot wait!! We decided a couple days ago that before we move in, we need a new bed. Our is nice and a queen, but it's broken. Scott thought it'd be funny to run and jump on it one day, and broke the middle board...plus we got it at a liquidiation center and found out it has a dent in it (which we affectionately call the butt groove, or belly groove). His sister got the same one and it's the same deal. Anyway, Scott's dad and stepmom plus Scott's mom said they would help us money-wise to get a new bed. So that was great, the Lord was providing already.
Yesterday morning, we had the priviledge of going for brunch to our friends house, the ones who will be renting their house to us with the intention of buying it. :) As we were discussing the house and taking a tour, they mentioned that only a double bed would fit up the stairway to the bedrooms upstairs...They said they would like to leave their queen size bed there because they had to break the boxspring to get it up there, then fix it once it was up there. Wow! I quickly shot a knowing look at Scott. We told them we had planned to buy a new bed before we moved in, but we would love to have that bed! The Lord provides even before we have time to ask! What a wonderful God we serve!!!

It is always so amazing when the Lord provides when we are not even expecting it...its such a good reminder that He is always there. "Delight thyself also in the Lord and he will give thee the desires of thine heart." :)

I agree, Rach. And what a wonderful promise we can claim in that verse!
