Inspired

Yesterday, Sunday, was a great day for many reasons. One of the biggest reasons was because it was a day full of answered prayer from our loving God. Friday and Saturday were the worst days of my life, I felt so sick. I figure either we're expecting a boy, one fat baby, or twins. I had morning sickness with Lucy, but this is a totally different thing. Anyway, so Scott and I prayed that God would give me strength and peace to my body so I could go to church all day Sunday, and especially that I would be able to teach Sunday School. I love teaching those children! I was blessed with no sickness or pain, which we sang about in our evening service as favourites were chosen. I'm not much of the crying type, but I definitely cried when we started the second verse of this song by Jim Hill,

There is coming a day when no heartaches will come
No more clouds in the sky, no more tears to dim the eye.
All is peace forevermore on that happy golden shore
What a day, glorious day that will be.

CHORUS:
What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see
And I look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace.
When He takes me by the hand and leads me through the Promised Land.
What a day, glorious day that will be.

2. There'll be no sorrow there, no more burdens to bear
No more sickness, no pain, no more parting over there.
And forever I will be with the One who died for me
What a day, glorious day that will be.

CHORUS:
What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see
And I look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace.
When He takes me by the hand and leads me through the Promised Land.
What a day, glorious day that will be.

I was so thrilled by the truth in this song! The thought of being with my Saviour, Jesus Christ...there aren't words to explain how much I look forward to it. Then to think of no sickness or pain (I haven't experienced near as much as others, but I've had enough of a taste to be very thankful!), no more burdens to bear (of unsaved loved ones and those who claim to be Christians but certainly don't live like it), no parting (never having to say good bye, whether it be when someone dies or living in separate locations from loved ones). I don't know if Jesus will actually take my hand and I don't even know if He'll be the first to greet me when I die and go to Heaven (unless the Rapture happens), but this one thing I do know, I will spend eternity with this One who loves me so!
Scott and I both also really appreciated the song Pastor Fosmark sang as special music by Joel Hemphill,

Consider the lilies they don’t toil nor spin
And there’s not a king with more splendor than them
Consider the sparrow they don’t plant or sow
But they’re fed by the Master who watches them grow

Chorus
We have a Heavenly Father above
With eyes full of mercy
And a heart full of love
He really cares when
Your head is bowed low
Consider the lilies and then you will know

Verse II
Now may I introduce you to this friend of mine
Who hangs out the stars and tells the sun when to shine
And kisses the flowers each morning with dew
But He’s not too busy to care about you
The ministry of music to the heart of a believer cannot be described. After two of the hardest days of my life when I could barely prepare a meal for my husband or pick up my own baby to feed her, what an encouragement to be reminded that my Heavenly Father cares about the little things, like my life. God has supplied all of my needs, even my lack of energy and good health. The above song's main thrust comes from the passage in Matthew 6 which also happens to be the verse Scott and I like to claim as our own, or at least one of our favourites.
Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
God has been blessing us left, right, and center...on all sides. I'd like to share of these blessings with you so here are some pictures of our new house (which we are still renting, hoping to purchase in the spring, btw) and our new kitten, Tartan!

These two are what makes my house a "home".

Ya, we're expecting again! Lucy and the new baby will be 14.5-15 months apart so I shall have my hands full! :) That's so exciting that you got to find out you're having a boy. How have you been feeling? I will pray he comes early. :) Oh, and we are so happy at our new house. We feel like we've been here for months, it's so homey. :)
