"Of all the rights of women, the greatest is to be a mother."-author unknown
(This quote was on the Mother's Day card I received from my mother-in-law)
I am so blessed by a loving Creator! He provides for all of our needs, and wants! My mother was a pleased Mum yesterday because she got presents and cards from all of her kids, even the one in Germany! He's thoughtful too. :) She was given flowers and cards because she's very loved...but she didn't forget about me! It was my first Mother's Day being a mum and she brought over fuchsia roses and a card! Shelby brought me a cute card too. They also joined Scott, Lucy, and I for lunch at Rosanno's. So good! Oh, and I got a special personalized Mother's Day card a couple days early from my mother-in-law, Monique. She had written the nicest message in it! As I write this, baby #2 is doing somersaults and high kicks...can't wait to meet our second blessing!! I'll hopefully be a mum to two come this time next year.
Scott gave me my cards the day before Mother's Day, guess he couldn't wait! They were beautiful cards. I read the one from Lucy, then waited 15 minutes or so to read the one from him because I was fighting back tears as it was! When I woke up Sunday morning, he asked what I would like for breakfast, in bed!! Now I am normally spoiled and pampered, but this day was extra special. We got to pick out some carnations at church too. Scott then asked which restaurant I would like to have lunch at. :) While we were there, Lucy waved at anyone who would look in her direction and it turned out, we knew two groups of people! It probably helped that she was in a cute outfit with her pink ballerina headband on.

I had some extra blessings at church too. We sang a couple hymns that were special to me that day. I'll share the lyrics to one with you by Civilla D. Martin,
"Be not dismayed whate’er betide,
God will take care of you;
Beneath His wings of love abide,
God will take care of you.
Refrain:
God will take care of you,
Through every day, o’er all the way;
He will take care of you,
God will take care of you.
Through days of toil when heart doth fail,
God will take care of you;
When dangers fierce your path assail,
God will take care of you.
All you may need He will provide,
God will take care of you;
Nothing you ask will be denied,
God will take care of you.
No matter what may be the test,
God will take care of you;
Lean, weary one, upon His breast,
God will take care of you."
God will take care of you;
Beneath His wings of love abide,
God will take care of you.
Refrain:
God will take care of you,
Through every day, o’er all the way;
He will take care of you,
God will take care of you.
Through days of toil when heart doth fail,
God will take care of you;
When dangers fierce your path assail,
God will take care of you.
All you may need He will provide,
God will take care of you;
Nothing you ask will be denied,
God will take care of you.
No matter what may be the test,
God will take care of you;
Lean, weary one, upon His breast,
God will take care of you."
Pastor shared a point in his message last night that really stood out me. I'm going to try to share it with you. It's from, John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Ok, this is a verse that most of have heard and probably often. Stop and think about it for a moment though. Jesus is the way to what? ( To the Father). Jesus is the truth about what? (About God). Jesus is the life, what life? (God's life~eternal life).
Every human alive on earth at this moment is NOT God's child. There is only one way to become God's child (in a right relationship with God) and that is through believing and receiving His Son, Jesus Christ, and the payment He has paid for your sins on the cross. It's a personal relationship. With this personal relationship comes a responsibility~obedience (to know, see, and do God's will). Am I fulfilling my responsibility to obey God every moment of every day? Are you? What a challenge.
