Quick Update

Since I can't upload my recent pics or videos at this moment (because I can't stay bent over long enough to plug in the usb cord and Scott's not home), I decided to go for a quick textual update. :)

Things here have been insanely busy with Scott milking usually 7 times a week(only twice this week because of VBT), Pastor now gone to the Ukraine to teach a Personal Evangelism course (which means Scott is preaching all services, except this past Sunday night when the Moir's presented), and our Vacation Bible Time is every weeknight this week! Plus, I have not been doing the greatest physically. This baby sure is different than Lucy was!

We also have my doctor's appointment to fit in, a funeral to attend (my childhood babysitter whom we loved dearly), a car to fix before our rejection expires, and a baby shower to go to on Saturday (yay for the Lord providing a crib!). And then there's regular life stuff like spending daily quality time with the Lord, eating, sleeping, hygiene, teaching Lucy how to walk, etc. Then there's staying organized for VBT, picking up kids, picking up helpers, making calls, keeping snacks straight, keeping on schedule...

Then there's keeping Lucy content, fed, cared for in general...trying to deal with heartburn, vomiting at odd hours, etc. Busy much?

I would like to say how thankful I am and how much I have learned the past few months about God's faithfulness. He is always there, always keeps all of His promises, and never fails in any way. What a mighty God we serve! The thing that I've learned most recently is how the Lord always provides the exact amount of strength and energy I need for the day...sometimes no more and always no less. Just when I think I cannot go on, I realize I'm right, I cannot go on...not in my own strength anyway. God has opened my eyes to just how much I try to do everything in my own strength. Yes, it's resulted in a few tears and I've come pretty close to a couple tantrums/break downs. It's part of the Christian life~your weaknesses don't disappear just because you have victory over them at one point in your life. I have a weakness and I suspect most Christians struggle with it too~trying to do things in my own strength and not relying on the Lord's strength. He's promised to give it to us so why not take it?
"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want"~Psalm 23:1
A very familiar verse that can be claimed by any true Christian. My Shepherd will provide for all my needs, I won't lack anything, which includes energy and strength. This pregnancy has drained my energy and strength, as has our schedule/life. Serving the Lord is always worth it. He blesses more than we take the time to notice, which is also something I'm actively working on too.
"Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture."
~Psalm 100:2-3
I want to write more but I need to shower, feed Lucy, and be ready to start picking people up very soon. Plus, Scott just brought me home a chocolate bar. :) I'll close with this~all and any prayers would be appreciated for our Vacation Bible Time this week. We are praying for 40 children to come and many to be saved! We have been very encouraged to see the Lord working so far, even in the lives of our own people! Thanks for reading. :)

We had the Moir's at our church a couple of weeks ago :). That's interesting you're calling it Vacation Bible Time. We were thinking of renaming ours too, and getting rid of "school" since kids might be turned off of the idea of school in the summer. I thought of calling it a Vacation Bible Camp, but "time" works too :).

Keep trusting God in your struggles! I know it's easier said than done. We all need HIS strength :).

Thanks Jess! I heard that some places in the States call it VBT instead 'cause of precisely that~they don't want the kids to be turned off by "school" in the summer. :)Our pastor wanted VBT so VBT it is! :)Thanks for the encouragement, we definitely all need His strength!
