It's a Great Day in the Neighbourhood!

Ever wake up feeling rested, refreshed, and ready to start the day? Well, I must admit, those mornings have been very few and far between lately. But today, was one of those days! I checked my cell for texts and the one from "Scott my hubby" read, "Morning hun! I got some Tim hortons so you should come down. :)" The fact that I indeed felt rested, refreshed, and ready to start the day was surprising enough, considering Scott and I were both up pretty much all night listening to Lucy cough, with our Mommy and Daddy ears functioning to their highest capacity. Praise the Lord that He gives rest(to both of us even!), especially when we don't deserve or expect it! So I got kind of dressed, presentable but comfy is my style today. :)
Upon coming downstairs, I was greeted by my wonderful husband feeding a "happy to see Mommy baby" her bottle, and she'd already eaten (and not thrown up!) her cereal. Wonderful, says I! Then I was presented with, "I got two donuts and you can pick which one you want. Have you tried the strawberry banana one?" AH!!! Can you say excited?! Scott said he wanted the sour cream glazed and was so glad I picked the banana glazed strawberry filled. How do they think of these delicious treats, anyway?
Then I spent some quality time playing with our sweet girl, whose nose is still running and her cough makes her eyes red and watery...I'm more bothered than she is. Haha! We sure are beyond thankful to the Lord for such a sweet spirited and somewhat compliant wee one! He knows I couldn't handle anything else at this point, is my assumption. ;)
After some time of watching cars and people go by from the happy sun porch, Lucy went for a much needed nap...and she's still sleeping, an hour longer than normal. I don't blame her, after coughing all night. This nap meant I got to read God's Word!
I Timothy 1 really got me thinking today about how I'm not worthy to be in the ministry, why have I been counted faithful? Such a humbling thought. I also texted a couple of my good friends and had meaningful conversations, which you can do over text, btw. :)
Then Scott and I had a picnic for lunch in the sun porch, peanut butter and jam sandwiches. Classic. Then he had to leave to go to work (insert sad face here), after we had in-depth conversation about the difference between roads, streets, avenues, drives, boulevards, etc. We haven't come to any conclusions, guess we'll have to Google it. :)

Little Lucy is chatting away in her crib now so this post is over. I will add pics though. Enjoy! Don't forget to thank the Lord for all His blessings and the beautiful weather! :) I hear snow is just around the corner, as in~ tomorrow...but the Lord is control of that too. :)
