Today was an exciting day for the Watters' family. I went to bed at 3:20AM (just as Scott was leaving to milk the cows) and slept off and on until 10 AM. Then I remembered, duh duh duh...today is shot day. Lucy's one year needles. Ugh, plus it was my last chance to go to the hospital and drink disgustingly sweet juice and then have my blood taken!(only 3-4 weeks late! haha.) My husband is so wonderful though and took great care of his girls today. Lucy got a needle in each of her limbs and only cried until the nurse was done. She sure gave me a good hug when it was over. I sat in the chair across the room while Scott held Lucy and the nurse did her thing. I did say encouraging words, but wasn't looking. Lucy hasn't had any reactions yet and we are praising the Lord!
Then we came home, Scott's sister popped in for a visit, and I picked up Lori who so kindly came to sit with me at the hospital for an hour while the sugary substance set into my blood stream. I'm glad I'm a sweets girl 'cause the drink wasn't so bad! The blood taking, which I never love, was quite painful though! The girl was really young and even though we were chatting about Angry Birds, it felt like she was ripping through my muscle for the entire 40 seconds...still hurts actually. I'm waiting for the bruise to appear. :)
The rest of our day is history, including a much needed 3 hour nap for me! My husband is now asleep, but I'm so thankful for the sacrifices he made for me today! I feel slightly rested...which these days is not normal, but I welcome this long lost feeling. :)
God answered one of two major prayer requests last week, He is too good to us. I had a glimpse of how He might possibly answer the last major request today. It's so exciting to wait for God's timing in the area of provision! We don't know how or when He'll provide, we just know that He will. Time is ticking too so we'll get to find out soon! I can't wait. :) I'll let you know when and how He does, don't worry!
Well, as my Mum would say, "Make good choices!"
